Volatile Organic Compounds, or VOCs:
Every home has these gases, its just a matter of how much you have that can be dangerous.
VOC's come from chemicals (present in cleaning chemicals, adhesives, paints, aerosol sprays, etc.) that can off gas or emit toxic vapor into the air we breath. These gases can be more dangerous than radon.  

Radon: 1 in 3 homes in Utah have an unhealthy amount of radon. If you are looking at a home with a basement always get it tested.

Lead: If you are looking at a home that was built before 1979, there is a high possibility it could have lead paint.

Fluoride: You wouldn't brush your teeth with lead... Fluoride is more toxic than lead!!!

Asbestos: If you are looking at a home that was built before 1979, there is a possibility it could have some form of asbestos.

Bedbugs: Bed bugs are an epidemic in Utah and Salt Lake Counties. You may have them and not even know it. The bites only show if you are allergic.

Termites: All homes should have an annual termite inspection. Structures are more at risk of termites when in close proximity of foliage.

Electric: If your home was built between 1950 and 1990 and is equipped with a Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) or Zinsco circuit-breaker panels with Stab-Lok circuit breakers, you run a significant risk of breaker malfunction and fire.

 We also do crawl space rover camera inspections for the places that are too small or dangerous for the inspector.
