I recently spent three days in Huntington, Utah. On the first day, I performed an inspection on a larger home that had significant mold issues. The home had a few water leaks—one coming from the dishwasher and others likely caused by moisture from the surrounding soil. Because of these moisture sources, mold spores were able to spread quickly throughout the home, and mold growth had already begun developing in areas such as the bathrooms. The rest of the time I spent in Huntington, Utah, was dedicated to excavating a home that had previously been demolished and buried without proper asbestos testing. The structure had been pushed into the ground and covered with soil, which required careful excavation so the materials could be properly inspected and sent to the lab for further analysis.
